Italian Final National Event on JADECARE

The JADECARE Joint Action on the Implementation of Digitally enabled integrated person-centred care, launched in October 2020, has engaged over the last three years to contribute to the development of more innovative, efficient and sustainable healthcare systems by providing expertise and sharing good practices that will help EU Member States to implement reforms towards digitally enabled person-centred care. In particular, it aimed to transfer some good practices on the topics of integrated, person-centred care supported by digital technologies, focusing on activities necessary to prepare and guide the so called ‘Next Adopters’ (21, from 16 European countries) to adopt moduels of the good practices, taking into account the starting situation of their own territories, their strategies and their commitment in terms of resources.

AGENAS, on the instructions of the Ministry of Health, was the Competent Authority representing Italy in the Joint Action. Co-leader of Work Package (WP) No. 4, focussing on national policy integration activities and sustainability, it was the contact site for multiple activities, also related to other work packages. Among the Italian partners, also the Ministry of Health itself participated in the JADECARE Action, with the task of contributing to the sustainability and integration of the results into national policies.

The hybrid meeting on the 20th of September 2023 has been jointly organised by the Ministry of Health and AGENAS with the aim of highlighting the final results of the project, and in particular the implementation experience of the Italian partners involved, focussing in particular on the actions that triggered a positive change in the management of person-centred and digitally enabled integrated care.
